For study the solutions to prevent rutting and pavement damage in areas which have extreme traffic conditions and after get permission from Da nang Transport of Department. We (Taiyu Kensetsu and BK ECC) carried out to test pavement of Strong Pave (Semi – Flexible) using STP.
Used material
Semi-flexible pavement is a pavement combining both of flexibility and rigidity, which asphalt pavement and cement concrete pavement have respectively. The characteristics of the semi-flexible pavement are brought by filling the air voids of more than 20% of an open graded asphalt pavement by special cement milk. And Strong Pave, STP, is a cement milk modifier for semi-flexible pavement.
We sure that, this technology is able to contribute to prevent rutting and pavement damage not only in Da Nang city but also whole province of Vietnam.
Before carry out test pavement by STP
Carry out open graded asphalt pavement (air void about 24%)
Carry out cement milk – STP
The pavement surface after carried out cement milk – STP
Bending and compression test result match standard (Semi – Flexible) – STP
Cement milk – STP fully filled in air void.
